Hey all,
I'm about to install a Valet 561R on a 07 Sierra Classic. What bypass module for the passlock do I use? I have a couple dei 556u's laying around but somebody told me these won't work on the 07 classic's. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

I just did an '07 Classic- it still uses the old style bypass like in a '99-02 GM truck or so-- So I used the GMattII That basically supplies the right resistance to bypass the Hall effect resistors in the ignition switch- very straight forward- I found it easier to access the wires att he BCM- and since there were no electric doorlocks- there was no need to put an expensive module in just to do the bypass-- no factory alarms to deal with either- a very simple job-- the GMattII ($7 ) has the variable pot to match up the resistance built into it.

If you need to do door locks also, I would use the Xk01 from bypass kits. Or the 457G from Directed. The truck uses Passlock II and has data  controlled door locks.
