I have a ford f150 and installed a python 881xp and everything works fine but the remote start feature shuts down if key is not inserted within 10 seconds I think i need to connect it to tach wire but not sure.

Sorry it is 2004 and yes I used a 556uw bypass from directed electronics. The truck starts fine and stays on for 10 seconds. Thank you for your quick response

What wire on the truck did you use for a tach signal?

I used the blue negative trigger on the 556u to the blue negative trigger from the alarm and I did not use the tach since I was hoping the voltage sense would do the trick.

Voltage sense is very unreliable on those trucks. Use a fuel injector wire for a tach signal.
