kind of a bad time to be wondering this, but does anyone know how to remove the needles off the gauges in a 99 Saturn al-1?  Is there a special tool or do they just pull off? I have it down to this part in putting on silver reverse gauges and do not want to break them? someone please help quick, right now I have no dash..........also wondering if they can be wired to the existing dimmer switch (brown wire?) to turn on with parking lights?

thanks

If the needles were meant to be taken off and the aftermarket gauges didn't come with a tool then all you should need is a fork, place the fork with it's teeth between the needle and the gauge then pop the needle off (it is pretty easy). My biggest tip to you is to make sure you follow the directions to the letter, such as let the car warm up completely, mark where the needles are when the car is on(and warm, you have to take the needles off when the car is on or when you put the needles back on they will be in the wrong position), then put the needles back on it the exact same position with the car on(and warm). You would want to wire it to the parking light wire for the car and it is Brown, don't use the dimmer because the gauges should have came with one.
