My wiper fuse blew, I replaced it and it blew again 15A. I started checking the circuit, but found nothing obvious, so replaced the fuse again, this time, the main 40A fuse for the acc/ign blew. I replaced that with a 35A, left the wiper fuse out, and tried again, O.K. this time. When I replace the wiper fuse again, testing with the wipers off, even unplugged at motor, then main fuse blows shortly after I turn to accessaries, but the wiper fuse does not blow. I know, hard to believe. When the main fuse blows, it gets very hot first, so it's not a dead short. I am wondering if this is a "stanfard" or frequent problem, if so, please post reply, or any ideas.

Thanks,

Have a somewhat similar issue (but could also be different from your case) with

my 2003 Pajero. I had two incidences of the 40A fuse blowing up - the fuse that is

currently installed is already dull which may indicate that some high levels of current

may have already passed thru it. On the two occasions where the 40A fuse blew out,

it was raining, night time, and I had the wipers on as well. My car is currently with the

dealer.

Did your car stall when your 40A blew.

Would be interested to find out what turned out to be deffective on your unit.
