i just newly painted a flat black GT stripe down the hood of my mustang. its finished drying but it feels all rough. is there anything i can do to smooth it out?

yes wet sand it. Use a very fine grain.

Wet sand it with 2000 grit. Then buff it with a good buffing compound. Like mothers or mirror glaze.  After that put a good coat of wax on her.  She will be fine.   P.S.  Do all of this by hand.....
