Hi,
I'm kinda new to wiring and figuring out relays. I need help on my project. I'm trying to get a rear fog light option (EUDM)to work in my (JDM) car. I got the oem EURO headlight with rear fog stalk switch. My question is the rear fog switch on the stalk is a soft on/off type of switch. Could anyone direct me on how or what kind of relay/s to use. I could not get a hold of an oem (EUDM) relay and I am thinking of just improvising on using somekind of relay circuit. I just need to have the circuit to stay on when I click it to and stay off when I click it again
Thanks,
Benjie

A latching relay will do it for you, though it must use the ignition or normal lighting switch to "off" it. Basicly two coils, each with pos or neg, working a changeover. The pos is normally fed from a lighting source, the neg from the switch or ign 1 going off to give it a neg turn off pulse.

Go to RS (Radio spares) or Maplin Electronics and look at "latching relays". I know they are UK based but looking at the diagrammes might give you some idea.

I'm currently looking into their brochures. Thanks!
