hey guys, need alittle help here,  i need to wire a momentary ON-OFF=ON switch to a relay, but how do i wire the relay to alternate between polarities? or do i need 2 relays?

the amp rack motor has 2 wires coming out of it, window motor and transmission,  wired normally, spins counter clockwise, and when you filp the +/- , the motor spins in opposite direction

so how do i wire a momentary switch for,   switch held up = rack slides out, switch held down = rack pulls in..

thanks guys

I do not know how hard it is to find a spal power window switch.  The following diagram is the same thing as their switch.  The switch is a Double Pole Double Throw Momentary On-Off-On switch.

Effectively the same Mr.I The spal switches are 5 terminals inline. Outers are motor wires, next in are the 2 grounds commoned of course to the outers at rest and the centre is your 12v+ feed.

Since you asked about relays,   https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~117734~get~last#574028

To wire the switch, you will need a single Pole Double throw momentary switch.  Ground the center leg.  Connect one of the remaining terminals to the wire labeled to 3 wire switch for up.  Connect the last terminal to the wire labeled to 3 wire switch for down.

If you have 2 free aux output channels on your alarm system, it will be very easy to have the rack move with your remote of your alarm.
