Ok here is my prob. I have a 96 honda accord and i want to put blue neaon lights under the dash and in the back seat a total of 4 lights all 12volts, and I will have a switch to turn them on and off at my will. At the present time I have two 10" neon lights under my dash and they are wire to my left turn lignal they work fine i have hook up a switch to them so I can turn them on and off whenever I want as long as I have my healights on which is cool. Now lately I have been blowing my blinker fuse and someone told me it is because i have to much power being sucked up by the light i have spliced to my turn lignal. when does a relay come in to play where can i get one how to I use one. I am very lost here. cause I will be aded to more neon lights and all 4 of them say they need 12volts of power can someone help me out here. much appreciated i know that i am new to this sight so can you please bare with me thanks

Ok, first unhook them from your light switch. Then wire your toggle switch( or what ever switch you are using) with one wire going to ground and the other wire going to the relay(85). Then wire a +12V to a power source that can handle a 30 amp load, either go to the main power wire for the ignition or straight to the battery and fuse it with a 30 amp fuse. Wire the power wire to 86 and 30 of the relay. Then use pin wire the power leads of the neon tubes to pin 87 of the relay. Here is a diagram. Power prob -- posted image.

Just disconnect the wire that is turning on the neon. Wire that and the other power wires for the other neons to pin 87 of the relay. Then wire a power wire for the relay and hook it to pin 30 and pin 86. Then hook one of the wires from a toggle switch to ground and the other to pin 85 of the relay. For power you can run a wire from the battery, make sure it is fused, to the relay. 87a is not used for this application.

so the way it looks to  me is all the power source from all the light i have is going to go to pin 87, then the power wire i can run from teh battery and pin it to 30,and 86 pin but it has to be fused which i dont understand yet. now for the toggle switch which one do i hook up to ground the positive wire or the negitive wire adn then whcih one goes to 85 pin relay. i am sorry if ia m being a pain in the butt. i just want to be able to fully understand
