Finding my relays in a 97 gmc sierra

Im putting in a remote start and keyless entry sytem into a 1997 GMC sierra 1500 i have accomplished everything except to find my freakin relays and connect my alarm to them. i tried just listening for them but my acuators are too freakin loud. any help is welcome....im kinda new at this thing but im learning fast

If your truck didn't come with factory keyless entry, then it won't have a power door lock/unlock relay. The relay should be mounted on a bracket above the gas pedal. If it's not there, then you will have to wire the door locks up for a 5 wire polarity reversal configuration. The wires can be accessed inside the driver's kick panel inside the steel cavity.

first of all it is factory power locks if that makes a difference and i looked for the relays but couldnt find them, if it is the 5 wire reverse polarirty(it says so on the wiring diagrams on this site) then how can i tap into that system to use my keyless entry i have also looked at the diagrams on the 5 wire reverse polarity and it shows realys but you make it sound like there arent any

well nevermind it turns out that there werent relays to begin with it was sired up wired if you have the same problem holla and ill help ya out

You must add relays into the door lock wiring if it is a 5 wire system. The switches in the doors are designed to handle the current for the door lock motors and don't require relays. Most car manufacturers do it this way.

yea i did some relay thing a-ma-jig that was in my installation manual and it works perfect now
