USB 5V able to hold a relay open?

Was just wondering if 5V could hold a regular SPDT open?
here's the best way i can describe what I'm asking:
1. Want to install a power invertor to run a computer
2. a switched 12V source would initially open a relay, powering the invertor
3. computer is powered up and the USB port has 5V (also hooked up to relay)
4. when I shut the car off, the USB port will hold the relay "open or ON"
5. computer shuts down, USB power drops, invertor turns off
is that possible?

You can use  5 volts relay to keep the other relay to the inverter energized until the computer shuts off.
