I am wiring a keyless entry on a G6. I have 2, 4 terminal automotive relays from radio shack. These relays appear to be the same as the 5 terminal in my wiring diagram, except that they do not have a terminal 87a in the center. Will these work in the same manner? The wiring diagram does not make use of the fifth (87a) terminal. A Pontiac G6 uses a single wire to lock and unlock.

What you have is a NO (normall open) SPST relay.  The 5 pin relays are SPDT relays and contain a NC (normally closed) leg in addition to the NO leg.  If the 87A isn't needed in your system then you can get by with the SPST you picked up from Radioshack
