I have a question.  I have a 2002 dodge Ram 1500 trying to switch the accessory cigarette lighter at the bottom of the center dash from battery to ignition....does anyone know if this can be done easily without running wires....is the dodge prewired so i can flip between the 2....if so how do I access it Ive tried but not very successfull...thanks

What you are trying to do is very easy.  I have not installed in many years.  You will have to remove the radio and get switched power from the radio harness.  I do not know what color the wire is but if you post this question in the car audio forum, I know they can tell you what color the switched wire is.    You can use that switched wire to power a phone charge or something of the sort.  If you are going to use it as an actual lighter, you will need to let them know when you ask the question.  It is possible to do it but you will need to use a relay.
