Does anyone have any information on possible changes to the wiring harness on a 2008 Ford Mustang?

Until recently I had a DD head unit installed in a 2005 Mustang.  Over the weekend I traded in the 2005 for a 2008.  The HU, which was uninstalled in working condition, does not seem to want to power up.  I've isolated the problem what I think may be the accessory line in the factory wiring harness.  I've checked this pin with my multi-meter and I'm not getting12v on the line.  I've tested with the car parked without the car, with the key in the on position, and with the engine started and idling.  At no time do I see 12v.

Thanks!.

hi,

yes, the later build mustangs use a data bus to turn the radio on...no accessory lead anymore.  you can tap off the fuse for the power mirrors...fuse 4 (5A)...pretty sure that one has retained power.  fuse box is still in the right kickpanel.
