trunk light 04 sonata

I have an 04 Hyundai Sonata and there are 3 wires on the trunk light (kinda wierd) one green, one GREEN/ black stripe and one orange, the 2 green are on the same terminal on the light socket but not hot, the orange is hot, anybody can explain this to me?

One of the green wires provides ground to the bulb in the trunk when the trunk is open.  The other green wire prvides ground for the trunk open indicator on the instrument cluster.
