im trying to install a remote starter in my MTX 98 neon i just need to confirm a wire

there is a button above my clutch that physicly gets depressed when the clutch is completly in,   this button is connected two two yellow wires (pushing the button completes the circut)

now the clutch 12Volt + wire is yellow as well but i dont belive that these yellow wires are it, because ive already tried to tap into them,

does any one know a little bit more???

I have never done a M/T Neon and didn't see any clutch entries on my sources for it but...

Assuming your R/S is a unit designed and safe for M/T cars, try this:   Jumper the two yellow wire temporarily.  I have a 18 inch piece of wire with aligator clips on each end for this purpose.  Try to start the car with a key while in neutral with the clutch up.  If that works you can use a relay to do that during a R/S sequence, as follows:

Tap into one yellow wire and connect to relay pin 30.  Tap into the other clutch switch yellow wire and go to relay pin 87.  Energize the relay with a R/S Starter output (+) to pin 85 and attach relay pin 86 to ground.

Soldering is fun!
