I'v got a 2000 dodge neon.  I just picked  a remote start unit for it and i was looking for a tach wire.  Using my multi-meter I looked for the wire at the distributor that had 1-5 volts ac when the car was in idle, but i wasn't able too locate the wire.  i was wondering if any body knows where the wire might be located, and or the color of the wire....................thanks....

BLACK/ GREY at the coil. This should give you a 1 volt meter reading at idle and it should rise as the accelerator is depressed.
