I'm looking for the reverse wire color and location for my rear camera install.

It will be one of the 2 wires connected to the reverse lamp.

Don't you have to run the camera wire from the rear of the vehicle to the radio?

no there should be a reverse connection somewhere in the fuse panel or somewhere running to the back that i can tap into. thats how it was in my santa fe

yes. the deck Alpine IVE-W530 requires a + signal from the reverse light wire.
