Hi,
I am wiring a remote car starter from Directed Electronics Model 4113r. The remote strat works fine but I am having trouble with the door lock function. The wiring diagram says to look for a blue/white wire in the driver kick paner or the LR quarter BCM. I can not seem to find the right wire. When I unplug one of the harnesses from the rear BCM this does kill the door locks however I dont see the color wired specified. I did find a couple blue/white wires near the driver side kick panel but they do not affect the door locks. Also the wiring diagram says the cx5 door lock system is a one wire system negative 1000ohms to lock.

Are you looking in the harness that is running to the rear of the vehicle?

I am looking in one of two areas as specified by the wiring layout. In the driver kick panel or the BCM in the left rear of the car. When I cut the blue with white wire in the kick panel the locks still work so that cant be the right wire. At the BCM I dont see a blue with white wire but when I unplug the wire harness the power locks do stop working.

Sit in the car and lock it using the factory remote. After waiting 60 seconds, see if the door lock switches work while the factory alarm is set. If they do, check the wiring at one of the switches.
After looking online, it seems the driver's side switch is built into the same unit as the power window switch. If you can't find what you need in the wire bundle there, check the passenger side switch.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
