I have an Absolute starter/alarm. The box says that it is for gas or diesel. The poor instruction does not say any thing about this and their customer support is just as poor. They tell me that I now need a part from DEI he thinks it is a 550? my local Best buy gave a part number of 528T a pulse timer. That is to dalay the start. Has anyone delt with something along this line aror even with this absolute starter?

More on that>>>>>
I’m guessing that I use the timer to disconnect the start signal. Why not use the Wait to start light to run a relay? When the light goes out the relay shuts off and allows the start?

The remote starter doesn't have a wait to start input but they say it works on diesel.

It doesnt have a wait to start input but it says it works for diesel? Thats just strange. You can use a timer unit like the one best buy recomended but if it says it works for both gas and diesel than it must have some type of onboard system to time the start. If it doesnt I would say your best bet would be to get a different starter that does like a dei one. If you cant return the one you have than sell it to someone else (probally someone you dont likestarter on a diesel? usa a 528T to delay -- posted image. )
