I have a 2001 dodge dakota with the factory am/fm cd player.  Its the quad cab model and the tweates and speakers say infinity on them.  The factory radio stopped working and I have purchased a new pioneer cd player for it with the a new wiring kit.  The radio comes on but no music plays.  If I hook up a sperately wired speaker the unit plays fine.  I have doubled check my wiring and everything seems fine.  I have even borrowed a factory radio and it also works.

Whats going on here?  Is there a seperate amp in my system? If so How do I disconnect?

thanks

dave

hi,

i think your factory amp isn't being turned on.  connect the remote out (blue/white?) to the amplifier trigger lead in the harness.  should fix the problem.  the amplifier is located under dash, above the right kick panel, to the right of the glove box.
