okay so i just bought an alpine w200, got an amazing deal on it, 300 bucks. but it came without the wiring harnesses that need to be plugged into it. i know i need the power wire harness so i bought that on ebay but i also see an output for a ''6 Pin Remote Reverse Harness'' and i wanted to know if it is necessary to buy the 6 pin harness and what it does exactly.
i am an idiot

As long as you are not installing Nav, an AI net dvd player that uses the remote in/remote out wires, or an additional alpine monitor, you do not need that harness.

The plug also contains the remote in and remote out wires.  These wires are used to control the DVA-5200, 5205 and 5210.  They were add on DVD players.  If you are not using one of those, you will be fine.
