Power acoustic headrest monitor. poor pic

I recently sent a friend a power acoustic "outside the headrest" monitor along with a power acoustic dvd player. He hooked everything up but complains that the picture quality is extremly poor, such that even from a bit of an angle you cannot see at all. He also says that the picture is far worse than even the most inexpensive monitor he's used. He tried all the adjustments and they barely do a thing. Perhaps some other factor could be contributing to this problem?

I returned the same ones, they are old technology.  They are what is called stn monitors, very old electronics, newer models are active matrix TFT monitors, which are much better.  Check out power acoustiks PT-566HS it is much slicker.  But it is not a defect that is how they look, just like crap!
