I need help in replacing the video screen in my 2002 Windstar. It is the factory installed screen with VCR. Head unit has gone bad and VCR no longer works for us, so I am replacing head unti with just a standard CD player and replacing the screen with a Valor RM-1400 (Gray) 14.1" 4:3 Overhead Monitor from Crutchfield. We will mainly play video via our iPod hooked into the screen.

Installing the new head unit is a breeze, but I am not as certain about replacing the screen so any suggestions on how to do that (wiring digrams, how to resuse existing wires, etc) would be appreciated. I am hoping I can just use the exisitng wiring that is already there and not have to worry about running anything new.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Why would I just not use the wires that are already there? I am a newbie to wiring anything like this else, really only done head units before, so I dont understand why I wouldnt use what is there.

Because it will take you hours to figure out what is there(if what you need exists at all), while running a set of RCA's and a power wire will take you fraction of that time.
