Do i need a RGB cable with just these 2 items hooked up?

Do i need the Ip-bus cable?

You need the IP Bus cable only on that unit I believe, unless you want to add aux AV inputs or the DVD changer. then you need the RGB cable.
If you were using the AVM-P9000 you'd also need the optical for the 5.1

You DO need the RGB to hook that unit up, as well as the P-Bus cord. And you DO NOT need the optical for any 5.1 hookup. I have hooked up several of these units myself, from the 7000R to the 9000R.
