Has anyone done a navigation system on these before? I'm in DESPERATE need of the CORRECT VSS wire. Directechs.com said that it was GREEN / WHITE. That turned out to be wrong. Does anyone have any info on this car. The customer was in here earlier and we got our butts chewed out. He is suppose to be back in a little while any info for this wire would be greatly appreciated.

It is the GREEN / WHITE wire behind the instrument cluster. I do them all the time on Caddy's. The instrument cluster comes out with four screws. You can also find it at the seo box down by the brake on the Firewall.

I've tried that wire, and it doesn't work. Every tech sheet I've looked at has said that same thing. Does the VSS wire have to be programmed on the new Kenwood Navi systems?

OK - Whew... had to register first before I could reply.. hopefully this will help or by now you have figured out how to solve your problem.

I just finished installing a navigation system on my 2004 duramax diesel HD 2500. The vss wire is no longer in the back of the radio like it was on earlier models. The earlier post was correct in that the green and white wire behind the instrument cluster is it, but you must pay close attention because there are TWO green and white wires behind the instrument cluster! Only one of them works.

You must use the one in the A4 pin position on the harness.

I just finished my install and it works great.

Hopefully this will help.

V.
