97 suburban mirror 3 wire black = neg  red = pos green = ?  Please

mirror is auto dim and cumpass

Green goes to your reverse wire. I know it soulds wierd but it is to keep the mirror from dimming when you back up.
I have no clue where to wire it or how I have just read that that is where it goes.
