Hey guys, I am in desperate need for some help here. I had left my car with a car audio shop for about 2 weeks, then suddenly they decided to close down for a few months. Well when I brought my car to them my D1 was working great. I was just having them do a custom subwoofer install. They swear that they never touched the head unit, only the wiring from m 4 chanel amp and subwoofer, well after 2 weeks of torture to my car they decided to close shop and put back all the components the way that they were. When I got there to pick up my car the battery was dead so the guys jumped it for me and then we noticed that the backlight on my D1 wasnt working the guys took a look at it and said they didnt know what was wrong I thought it might just be a low battery so I had my battery charged and even pressed the reset button but my D1's Screen will not light up. The touchscreen works, everthing works I can listen to XM and all. But I dont have any way to view the screen. I held up a flashlight to it and i got into the screen settings and adjusted the brightness but it still didnt do anything. PLEASE HELPPPPPPP

The best thing to do is to take it back to where you got your unit from & have them pull it out & send it in for warranty. It is still under warranty right? As long as you (or the shop) didn't alter anything on the unit it should still be covered under warranty. You'll just have to pay for removal/reinstallation & freight charges.
It can be done but how much are you willing to pay?
