I looking into sound storm  for overhead dvd players. Anybody have a lot of expereince with them? Reliable, decent quality? Feedback would be great on this product or throw some feedback on the product you install and use. Thanx for any info.

They're all junk.....well kidding aside it is basically a crap shoot with overheads. I speak from experience as I do hundreds of these a year. For the most part I  find they all do what they are intended to do..of course the more expensive "name brand" systems might do it a little better.

I have yet to find a brand yet that is 100% reliable but for the most part to better help you I would say if you buy the sound storm (or any other system) make sure it is from a reputable company that will back it's products and allow you to return them if they prove to be unreliable as I find that is the most important thing to the "average" purchaser of overheads (soccer mom's trying to keep the animals occupied while they drive).

As far as install I find ALL overheads with built in DVD's cake to install...basically power, ground and possibly an RF mod if the unit does not come with a wireless but most do these days. If the wireless performance is poor and a mod is not available or too difficult/expensive etc...I find extending the ant. wire on the dvd close to the AM/FM ANTENNA (not the head unit) as possible will help greatly.
