I removed the original console (with rear audio control unit) and the original cassette unit to install a center tv/dvd console. I now have no speakers other than the front ones that work with the original stereo (fade to back and it goes silent). Has removing the rear controls and cassette unit broken the connection to the rear speakers? If so, which wires do I need to reconnect to restore? any ideas? I could figure it out if I had a wiring diagram.

Cassette and center console were both plug-in units

I don't have any answere for you speaker outage problem, but I will say it sounds like you have a bad connection. You may have to rewire the speakers.

I have a 99 tahoe and iamtryingto hook-up an amp. i would like to tieinto the current amp that the truck manual states the syatem has.

In your installation did you locate this amp?
