My grandfather has me on a mission. The capacitor in his bench grinder has melted and I have to find him a replacement. I am not having much luck finding an exact replacement at digikey or mouser. What I have appears to be an electrolytic capacitor (barrel with two wires.) On it is printed Yuhchang, MF Capacitor, 8uF +_ 10/5%, 250wvac.
I get that it is 8uf and handles 110vac. I am confused on the 250wvac, is it watts or volts? The grinder in 110v. How much slack should I have in finding something that will work?

Getting closer, film caps have closer specs to what I see.
This one is kind of close, but the voltage is higher, DC Link Capacitors 8.0uF 450volts 10% 27.5mmL/S 0.8mmL/D. Am I going in the right direction?

I think I found what you linked in ebay. What I have a little different. On mine, the wires are small gauge (22awg) and the body is round and fits into a clamp inside the grinder body. I'll keep the link handy, but I would like to find something that will easily fit back inside the case.
Dimensions are 30mm x 40mm roughly, it's swollen.
