putting a heater in my trunk.

Is it possible to have some kind of electric heater that I could put in my trunk to keep it warm in the winter? The reason I ask is because it gets really cold here at times, and I can't imagine that it could be very good for subwoofers/amps to start playing after they've been sitting for 8+ hours in a trunk thats -20C. What I'd like to do is have some kind of small electric heater that I could use to keep the trunk at an acceptable temp, say something +5C or so. Ive been toying with the idea of peltiers, perhaps using one of those to blow some heat around. My problem is id like the heating unit to run while the car is off, to maintain that ambient trunk temp...... but i I cant have it killing my battery to the point that my car won't start. Is there any kind of solution to this, to keep my audio components above the freezing mark?

even then, it takes a long time before the trunk would be at a reasonable temp. I could maybe it hook it up to a remote start so that the heater could be turned on before i get into the car.

Ive found a couple of heaters, which saves me from actually having to build one. http://www.autobarn.net/3000c.html This one looks like it is small enough to mount under my rear deck, between my speaker boxes, and should easily enough warm up my trunk.

well, since i found that, i think it would eliminate the need for it running all the time. Originally the plan was to use a peltier and a heatsink, which would need to be running all the time to keep it warm so as not to overload it. it WOULD have been controlled with a thermal sensor to keep the temp JUST above freezing.... like 1C or 2C. This thing could just be turned on when i get into the car.

just keep the volume low for a little . that's how alot of ppl around here do

A long extension cord going to your house with a space heater in your trunk. Hope to god your car does not burn down in the middle of the night as well.

i live on the third floor of a 3 storey walk up...... An extension simply isn't an option otherwise i would do just that, as well as plugging in my block heater :)
