So I did a sub/amp install in a 1996 Chevy Cavalier about a week ago.  Customer called back today and said that her horn was not working.  She will be bringing it in for us to look at in a few days, but I was wondering if anyone had any idea's or has had this problem in a cavalier before.  I did some research and I dug up some info on the 96-97 cavalier's horn being tied into the cigg. lighter fuse as well.  I called the customer back to ask if her cigg. lighter currently works or not but no answer.  Does anyone know if this is true, that the horn is tied to cigg. lighter fuse as well.?  Any help/ideas would be great, thanks.

The radio gets it's memory power from the cigarette lighter fuse.   If it were blown, the radio would not work.

The horns on those vehicles have a 15 amp fuse in the drivers end of the dash. It is the same fuse as the cigarette lighter if I remember correctly.

Sparkie or anyone else that reads this thread... Is it true what I am an idiot posted? That if the 15amp cigg lighter fuse blew on this car the radio would not work?
