Sorry I don't know where to post this. The car is a 1991 oldsmobile 98 Regency Elite.

I am trying to figure out what wire will kill the car when turning the ignition switch to the off position. My ignition won't turn back, so I wanted to install a kill switch. I was thinking this would be easier than replacing the ignition, but I might be wrong. I looked at the chart for the car and am wondering if ANY of the wires on the Ignition Switch Harness would actually kill the car if disconnected. I am very confused.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

The Ignition wire supplies power to the components of the ignition system. Kill that wire and it will kill the engine.

But if your accessory wires are still active it will drain your battery. Replace your ignition switch....
