I have a push button SPST switch and I have blown about 6 fuses trying to get it wired. I have three wires:

Positive from fuse

Positive from Solenoid (what I'm switching

Negative to chasis

The switch itself has 5 prongs on it total. Here is the diagram

Is it an illuminated switch? Do you have a digital meter? If it is not an illuminated switch, there is no reason to connect ground to the switch.

Ever thought of metering the switch to see what it does before wiring it up?
