Ok I am sure you have answered this question a million times but here we go.  I got new aftermarket power mirror.  The car originally had power mirror.  They have 3 wires.  White controls up and down, Green controls left and right and yellow is the common (yeah that should have been my first sign it wasn't right) anyhow. Wired it up and the left and right works well but the up and down is reversed.  I need to reverse polarity to make the motor function properly with the factory switch.  I have see the diagrams using two five pin relays.  Is that what I have to do?  Will I have to run a constant hot to these relay (yes I am a moron when it comes to relays!)  If this is what I need to do and somebody could make me a dummy proof diagram I would be greatful!.  Also is there a certain type of relay I should use?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.]

What has three wires, the car or the aftermarket mirror?   If the car has 3 and the mirror has 4, simply reverse the up and down wires of the aftermarket mirror.

Both.  The car has 3 wires and the mirror does as well.  They share a common but the polarity from the switc caused the up/down function to be reversed.   I may have fixed it.  I took apart the mirro and reversed the wiring on that motor.    Didn't look like the mirror came apart at all until it fell on the ground and the mirror fell out.  So I might be ok.  Will let you know tomorrow.
