I'm putting a code alarm keyless entry with a starter lockout on a 95 ford thunderbird.
So, I read through the install book, and install the 5 wire lock setup on the drivers side door. I test the voltage to each wire, and everything is how it should be like it is wired correctly.
Then after I get done, I see an astrisk, and it says that on 95 thunderbirds/cougars you need to do the 5 wire on the passanger side of the car.
Does this make sense to you guys?
The way the system is supposed to work, is its supposed to lock the doors the second you turn on the key. It doens't do this.
What would be the difference between doing the 5 wire on the drivers side or the passanger side?
Thanks,
Justin

might be that that is where the main control is located.

I think what they are saying is that you need to test the wires using the switch in the passenger door because that is the master switch. The wires themselves can be found in the drivers kick panel. If you wire your 5 wire backwards usually you just end up blowing fuses..
