Remote Starter Install

a great place to put the unit is behind the glove box somewhere or above or behind the radio never just leave the brain under the driver side panel as that is the first place a thief would look. The best way to tap wires is to cut a bit of the insulation off and solder your wires to them then use a high quality electrical tape. I use 3M super 33 thats stuff works great.You can find the tach in many places at the coil pack, ecm theres a lot of places to find this wire,you will need a dmm using it in the ac mode.this is because your tach wire will read in ac voltage not dc. A lot of alarms now have tachless features or voltage sensing wich requires no tach to be found.  Ok the hood pin switch will not let the remote starter engage with the hood open or will shut down the car if it is opened while running. You can mount it anywhere as long as you keep it away from places that will corode the switch over time all you have to do is find a spot that will allow the switch to operate smoothly. If you cannot find a place to mount the switch you can use a mercury switch instead.
