does anyone know if there is such a thing as a power inverter (ac to dc) that is fairly small and can be hard-wired into a vehicle, out of sight, instead of plugging into a cigarette lighter or clipping on the battery? thanks!

There are plenty of power inverters that you can do that with.

yeah, now that i have looked into it, it seems that you can do that to pretty much any of them. thanks!
