need location and color of wire that will give a + or - signal when vehicle is in park. used in a police application for use of shutting equipment down when vehicle is in park.

You should be able to find the nuetral safety switch in the steering column . I'm unsure of the color however I'm certain that the wire will rest at ground while in park.

On column shift Ford's there is a plastic piece toward the base of the steering column. That is where you find the nuetral safety/park wires along with the reverse lights wire. hope this gets you closer. Check Haynes or Chilton's
