I am posting for a friend...
He has a pair of Kicker IX1302 amps...we would like to know the RMS ratings and overall specs of the amps. As well does anyone have any suggested configs for two of these running front speakers, rear fill speakers and ( one or pair) of subs?
As well, what are the thoughts and opinions of "free-air" subs? The car is basically the 94-96 B-Body or Impala SS.
I believe he is looking for clean, tight bass...he listens to rock and wants great kick drum reproduction.

As for the specs, look them up on the audiobahn website.  As far as the free air subs, I am pretty sure the back window of that car is big enough to hold two 12's.  The thing with free air though, you need to COMPLETELY seal off the trunk from the rest of the car, or else you will just have an expensive vibrator.  Sealing it off sometimes involves a new back window baffle and a reinforced piece lining the back seat, all made out of 3/4 MDF.  Also, you have to caulk every nook and cranny you see.  One good thing about this though, is it is a great space saver.  Good luck with your project!  Post pics when you are done.
