bandpass sealed or vented for alpine swr 12's

I have 2 alpine swr 12's and i want to know what kind of enclosure to put them in.  I am more worried about sound quality, but i want those things to be loud.  They don't seem to say that they are recomended for bandpass, but that would be my first choice.  also, if anyone knows of good compnies that make enclosres that would be the right size for these subs.  or if you know of some good plans on how to make some boxes.  they will be getting 300 watts a peice, which isn't too much, but i want them to be pretty loud, also deep.  any help is great, thanks.

depends what you are looking to do....if you want good sound quality, tight bass response, small enclosure and the ability for the subs to handle power....stick with the sealed!!

Vented enclosures give you a 3db gain and require less power to get it.  The bad side is, the bass response isn't all that tight, the subs then have crappy power handling ablities and the enclosure has to be close to twice the sealed size...depending on the sub.

Bandpasses....They have the highest SPL rating, and thats about the only good thing about them.  They have crappy frequency range ( which is okay if you're into SPL competition, since you only need a certain range of frequency ), the box will be huge if it's built right, and the math that goes into building one I won't even touch in this post.....

Since you want them to play deep, loud and have good SQ, stick with the sealed...it's your best bet and teh easiest to build...

As far as pre-manned boxes.....Check out Q-logic.  Look up the sealed enclosure vloume for the subs and see i Q-logic has one close to that range...however, I would recommend building your own....you can than tune the box, etc.  and overall the subs will sound better......

If you want loudness, add two more and another amp.......
