Does anyone know if & where I can get an aftermarket power liftgate kit?

I want to add the feature to my 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada.

I would prefer one that automatically opens and closes, but even if it just latches closed (so no slamming is required) that would be fine.

I have not been able to find anything. Thanks!!

You could rig something up with actuators, but that'd be totally custom and would have to have alot of frabrication.

Try searching google?

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

You are not going to find a "snap in" kit. If you are going to do the work your self. Find a local machine shop and ask about getting some servos's. You will need a big of power. It all depends on the weight of the door. I live in washington and I have gotten stuff made thru a local company called R.A. Persons. They make packing machines and they have all sorts of stuff. If you can draft it they can build it. I have done two "power door kits" and got all my stuff thru them. Its a real pain to do but it can be done.

To sum it all up what I would do is a use a small actuator and maybe a timer mod to pop the trunk if its not a power trunk. Then use two big servo's to open and close then latch the trunk. What going to be a pain is hiding all the hardware and finding a relly strong spot to mount too. If anything you could make a rear fiberglass pod and hold a set of speaker and hide the hardware.

The more I think about it a small hydro kit might work to... hummm

Anyway just my thoughts...
