I need to know what to do about replacing the Bose system in a '93 Maxima. I think each speaker is powered by an amplifier? There's 4 wires running into each of the rear speaker amps. One appears to be power, and one ground.... are the other two speaker wires from the head unit? Should I just bypass the "amp" and connect those two wires to my new speakers? Am I on the wrong track? Is there anything special I need to consider while doing this install? I'm replacing the head unit and all 4 speakers. Thanks!

put in the head unit and run new wires from the new speaker to the head unit it will sound a lot better

If I decided to use the existing wiring, would it work the way I explained above? It's not my car and I don't really have time to rewire the whole thing. All I need to know I guess is whether or not I can run two of the wires coming into the amp to the new speakers (There's 4 wires total going in... one power, one ground and I'm guessing two speaker wires. Then there are two speaker wires, different colors than the ones coming into the amp, going into the speakers).

... is anyone familiar with these bose systems? I still haven't been able to find out whether or not I'll mess anything up installing new speakers with the existing wiring. I don't want to get into anything I can't handle. wiring for a '93 Maxima with Bose system -- posted image.
