I have a 2001 Honda Accord and the "Maint Req'd" light came on today. Is there something wrong with the car? Do I need to take it in to the dealership or is it something I can do at home to fix it light. What does it want me to do?

The light is a reminder to have yourcar serviced.

Make sure the key is off, press and hold the select/reset button in the instrument panel, then turn the key ON.

Hold the button for about ten seconds until the light resets.

(Owners manual: page 58)
