ive got this pa/multi sound horn in my truck. it makes all kinds of siren and animal noises, etc. and those all work fine. however, when i switch it to pa, theres a horrible whining sound that gets louder as you turn up the volume. any ideas on how to fix it?

sounds like your getting interference from the ignition, you can try moving the unit away from the firewall and see if that helps

I'd guess you have a problem with the mic, either a faulty cable or its picking up interference from something else in the vehicle

well the unit isnt near the firewall its up in my overhead console. and i thought it was the mic too but it still makes the noise even when the mic is unplugged. every siren etc. works just fine, its just the pa(whether the mic is plugged in or not) that makes noise. i dont understand it

check your power wire to the unit. it is most likely getting interference from the ignition OR charging system, so try to re-route your wire

Do you have to have your truck turned on for it to work?  Do you still get feedback with it off?
