I am a collge student and I am taking a speech class...I am preparing a speech about the world of dB Drag Racing

What I need for my presentation is a scale of the dangers of SPL and its affects on the human body...

I know that 140 dB for extended periods will defen you and 160dB can possibly stop your heart but I need more..

If you can find me a pic of a scale like this or a page where this info is listed I will be greatful..I have to do good on this speech...

I know that 90dB for 8 hours will cause permanent hearing damage.

A little-known fact you might want to include in your presentation:  The great Einstein discovered SPL.  Here is what he looked like before the discovery....

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Easy, this is right out of the MECP study guide and they got it from OSHA (occupational safety & hazards administration)

If I remember right, 100db at two hours will cause hearing damage. And there is a scale going in either direction from here.

Good luck on your speeches, I had a couple of those classes and some of my speeches were better than others. Be prepared and be flexible, research as much as you can and make it interesting for the whole class.

Start with OSHAs website, then hit the school library...slacker! :P
