So.. hey, yeah.. The reason that my signature says "Girls can do anything Guys can do" is specifically for reason like the following conversation:

Guy: So, who hooked up your system..

Me: I did

Guy: *chuckles* yeah right

Me: Would you say that if I told you some guy hooked it up

Guy: Well.. no, probably not..

So... hence the discrimination in that convo, and that's a "censored" version of that conversation, I was little more angry than that, lol.. followed by a lot of screaming and debating.. That's why it's phrased like that..

Girls can do anything guys can do!!

Well, that’s a very bold statement.  Cause they really cant, now can they.  Play sports on a level playing field?  Nope, all major sports are segregated because the women cannot compete.  Men are typically the stronger and more athletic of our species, so in events or tasks involving strong physical attributes such as strength and endurance: men win.

Now, anything else (non physical, mental) women can do as well as men.  Anything that requires thinking or creativity, memory retention and application of knowledge. You know, the stuff that is valued in the real world of real people, the people who don’t make millions playing with their balls (ya know, basketballs, baseballs, soccer balls, footballs).

As to why they think you could not have done it, well that’s just the stereotype.  You know the one that says a woman cannot be a lumberjack, construction worker, or a aeromechanic.  Its also the same one that says I cannot cook real well, or handle watching a single kid for a single hour without disaster and stressing out, or give birth to a child.  Some men, the insecure ones, feel threatened by a woman who can do what they can.  Especially if your product turns out to be better then theirs, hence the hostility possibly?  "no, no she could not possibly have done something better then me, not all by herself..."

But to be fair I think allot of women feed into their own stereotype by acting helpless and clueless in strategic situations.  Well, maybe strategic to getting the attention of that cute guy.  I found your other post and I don’t think your one of those girls.  No belly shirt, no short shorts and sandals, no fingernail polish.    The car audio industry is dominated by male installers, but the beauty shop industry is dominated by women and that’s just the way it is.  You'll have to prove yourself to the na-sayers and go above and beyond to prove yourself worthy.  In the meantime don’t let them get you down or get ya flustered.

BTW, while its nice to see pics of a chick (woman, girl, lady, hottie, babe, shorty, pick your label)  on the forum.... I’ve yet to see your system  : )

Sure girls can do anything, I tell my girls that all the time. Don't let the "boyz" get you down. My girls used to work with me and help with installs ( till they found out about boys). lol. Girl you just keep on keeping on. you can do it.

I think it is truely awsome that you do your own installs and enjoy moble audio enough to to do that. I only wish I could find a girl who had the same passion for mobile audio that I do. Most girls just think its a waste of money or an extension of our you know what. I say dont worry about people who would hold you down you can do any thing you want! Gender has nothing to do with good sound!

adamaudio77, you can find dbgirl in Ohio.  You'll hear those Koves when you get within a few miles...    ;)
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Hey jen!  long time no see.

Screw'em.  They just jelous you got a killer setup you did yourself.  You have put a ton of work and money into that.  Mondo KUDOS to you kid.

I dunno, i have seen some women that can go against guys.  You ever watch olympic womens hockey...damn they are visious!

I suggest not to get too worked over by anyone that says " no you didn't" when you say you did...I trust ya that you did it and it seems like many others do.  If it gets to violent in a way just hit the block and dont talk to them.  Ya could talk with me :D

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.
