I am tring to install a Prostart auto starter in a Ford Windstar Van. I have used one of the wiring diagrams posted on the site and have all conections soder together except a secondary ignition . I also do not have the third of the two wiring harnes connected that looks as if it is for the door locks. I will ge to the door locks later. I flash the hood pin and brake lights come on and off turn the ignition to runand then return to off but there is no response from the unit.  It continues to flash at a steady pace about once evry couple of seconds. Is it possible that it mght have somthing to do with the factory alarm and starter disable.

Any suggestions appreciated, My sports car is out in the snow, it's Sunday night and my van is completely tore apart.

HELP!

Does the car start with the key? does it crank with the RS? might need a bit more info...
There shouldn't be a bypass required on this vehicle..BUT if you have a big key it could have it (I highly doubt it) the 2nd ign needs to be hooked up and the factory alarm disarm is grn/purp in either kick panel (-). and do you have a tach signal? (yel/blk OR dk blu/lt grn on the coil, depends on the motor

Thanks for our reply! I was able to get it going and cleaned up about 11PM. I am not eactly sure what resolved it but it went like this. The brake wire was hooked up to the negative side and soon as I changed it to positive the remote programed. Then I got a RPM error but at least the transmitter was programed. From there I think I started to get a couple of other errors and I am not sure what happened but I put the brake wire back on the negative side to resolve that. I was able to get into programming mode for the features if I flashed the hood pin (manually at the box) but I don't think that the brake programming response is really working. The door locks I gave up on.....but it starts!. I am going to have to think trough this later today went I actually wake up.

Confused and lucky!
