I just installed a second hand Omega RS-4LX remote starter in my 2003 S-10 Truck. I have it cranking after hitting the lock button twice. It cranks but won't stay running. I don't have a manual for the installation or learning procedure for this unit. I know the unit works seeing how I removed it from a 2001 Silverado and it worked fine until I swapped the unit into my vehicle. I used the wiring diagram off this site that another member had posted for the RS-4LX which had the wiring of the module but I don't know why it won't stay running? I assume I need to relearn the idle for the remote starter module? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The truck has a passlock system on it.....but that wasnt mentioned in your post? Did you use anything to override it?

Relearning the idle or tach just helps the remote start unit know when to stop cranking the starter, if the truck starts then runs for one or two seconds and stops.....I believe its a passlock issue  K

Checkit out good luck

I was thinking it could be something like that as well but the security light proves out during crank? As far as over riding the passlock I'm not sure what is the correct way to do that seeing how I don't have an installation/owners manual. If you know of any tricks for that and this model of remote starter I would appreciate it.
