Alright guys I have a question for you, my new soldering gun that I got, ive been using it alot lately anyway, the tip on it is starting to like erode away. Can anybody tell me why this is?
Learning the trade one fiberglass creation at a time!

Cheap gun?? Prolly just wear and tear or impropper care.

clean solder and flux from tip with a damp paper towel and "tin" the tip with solder before turning it off. should keep tip in good shape.

like nugent said you must keep the tip clean. also check the screws for the soldering tip, be sure they are tight. if you are using it alot they can come loose.
